Naomi Hewlings

Clinical Growth Specialist • DBT Program Supervisor • IOP Therapist, DBT-Focused for Adults

Hi there, I’m Naomi Hewlings, and I use she and her pronouns. I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor with Sanare and a proud DBT therapist and program supervisor. I earned my master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Kutztown University and later became licensed in the state of Pennsylvania.

My journey as a counselor has led me through many different therapeutic approaches, but when I discovered Dialectical Behavior Therapy, something clicked. DBT helps people build real, practical skills for reducing suffering and creating a life that feels meaningful. That is why I’ve dedicated much of my work to this model and to helping others find stability and growth through it.

As a supervisor, my role is to support our team so they can support you. Just like you deserve a therapist who walks beside you with care and consistency, your therapist deserves that same kind of guidance and encouragement. I make sure our clinicians have the tools, feedback, and confidence they need to provide you with the best possible care.

In my DBT groups, you’ll find a space where you can show up exactly as you are. The room might have fidget toys, coloring supplies, books, and even a balloon animal kit on some days. We create an environment where learning, laughter, and growth can happen side by side.

Together, we’ll focus on learning to tolerate the present moment, navigate relationships, handle crisis with resilience, and strengthen your ability to manage emotions. My belief is that there’s no one right way to heal. You are the expert on your own life, and I’m here to help you discover what works best for you.

Outside of therapy, you can usually find me with my cat, curled up reading a Stephen King book, exploring new restaurants, or watching movies at the theater with a big bucket of popcorn.

Whether you’re just beginning your healing journey or are somewhere in the middle, I’m glad you’re here. You’ve already taken a meaningful step forward.
