Paul Carlson
As human beings, one of our greatest challenges is learning how to live with pain. Pain from our thoughts, our emotions, our memories, and even our bodies. If you are reading this, it may be because you are carrying some of that pain right now.
I’m Paul, a licensed clinical social worker. My work focuses on understanding what has happened to you within the context of your relationships, environment, and life experiences. In group, we explore how to change our relationship with pain through understanding, mindfulness, and compassion. Together, we build patience and practical skills that help transform the way we hold and heal from what hurts.
I use acceptance and commitment therapy, an approach that helps you clarify what matters most, focus on what you can control, and take steps toward a more meaningful life. My goal is to create a structured, supportive space where you can face what is difficult without losing your sense of safety. Growth is not about being comfortable, but about being willing to engage with what is real.
The work we do together is intentional and focused, helping you use your time in ways that move you toward healing and purpose. I hope we have the opportunity to work together and help you build the life you have been waiting to live.
