Jen Lubas
Are you looking for something deeper than traditional talk therapy? Maybe you have tried other types of therapy and felt like something was missing. Or perhaps you are searching for a place where you can be heard and understood by other women who truly get what it is like to face challenges such as perimenopause, depression, or the constant push to hold everything together.
In our women’s virtual IOP group, you will learn how to listen to the messages your body is sending you so that you can begin to understand them, find connection with others who share your experiences, and start healing from the inside out.
I’m Jen, a licensed professional counselor, certified yoga and meditation teacher, clinical supervisor, and EMDR therapist. As a supervisor, I help other therapists grow in their ability to support clients. EMDR, one of the main approaches I use, is a form of trauma therapy that uses gentle techniques like tapping or eye movements to help the brain and body process pain and calm the nervous system.
In our work together, we focus on compassion, curiosity, and growth. We use approaches like Internal Family Systems, also known as parts work, to help you better understand the different parts of yourself so that you no longer feel in conflict internally. We also incorporate mindfulness, meditation, and somatic experiencing to help you reconnect with your body, release tension, and build trust in your own capacity to heal.
I provide a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can allow whatever comes up to simply be there. Whether it is grief, anger, laughter, or joy, everything is welcome. While we cannot change what has happened in the past, we can prepare for healing and create a path forward.
I have never taught anything that I have not practiced myself, so I know these tools work. I also know that starting something new can feel intimidating, but you do not have to do it alone. Together, we can create space for healing, self-compassion, and the possibility of feeling whole again.
