Liz Sidilau
Do you ever feel like you just do not know what to do or where to turn during hard times? Or maybe you feel alone, unsure of where to find support. If that sounds familiar, I want you to know that you are not alone. In group with me, you will learn skills to help you work through challenges, build strength, and reconnect with your sense of self.
We use EMDR resourcing skills, which are simply coping techniques from a trauma-informed perspective, along with strength-building tools that help you stay grounded and confident. We also focus on relapse prevention, whether that means preventing a return to substance use or reducing the reactivation of trauma symptoms like flashbacks, nightmares, or anxiety. You will gain practical strategies and support from others who understand what you are facing, helping you move forward with greater steadiness and self-trust.
I’m Liz, a licensed associate counselor of mental health and certified trauma professional. My work centers on trauma recovery using EMDR, a technique that supports the brain’s natural ability to heal and reduce trauma symptoms. I also integrate cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and motivational interviewing to help you reframe thoughts, regulate emotions, and practice mindfulness in daily life.
I often bring music into therapy, using it as a bridge for connection and healing. I play guitar and love using music as another way to process emotions and build community in group. Healing does not always have to feel heavy. In our sessions, we share laughter, stories, music, and the simple joys that remind us of who we are beyond our pain.
I became dedicated to this work because of my own experiences and the power I have seen in these practices. My group is a place where we grow together, support one another, and rediscover hope. Healing can be hard, but you never have to do it alone. I am here, and I look forward to meeting you.
