If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or like even the simplest tasks feel impossible, you are not alone. Many people come into group feeling exactly that way, and the truth is, you do not have to figure it all out on your own.
In this group, we focus on the skills that so many of us were never really taught: regulating emotions, setting boundaries, building self-worth, and managing everyday life. We also explore motivation, reframing unhelpful thoughts, creating structure, and connecting with others in ways that feel safe and authentic. You will leave with tools that you can use right away to feel more grounded, more capable, and more connected.
I’m Kat, a therapist with a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, a certification in Alcohol and Drug Counseling, and an associate license. I’m trained in trauma work and EMDR, which simply means I help people heal from difficult experiences that still affect them today. My approach draws from cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and acceptance and commitment therapy. That means we will use practical skills, mindfulness, and values-based work that fits your real life.
My style is calm and consistent, with humor and honesty when it helps. I believe you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to walk beside you as you rediscover your strength and clarity.
I’m a big animal and nature lover. I have three dogs and a bearded dragon, and I love hearing about your pets or your favorite places to spend time outside.
If this group sounds like it might help, even if you feel uncertain, I encourage you to give it a try. It is a bit like standing at the edge of a high dive. You may not feel completely ready, but once you take the leap, you might be surprised by what you are capable of.
